Bethel Airport is a state-owned public-use airport located three nautical miles southwest of the central business district of Bethel, a city in the Bethel Census Area of the U.S. state of Alaska. It is included in the FAA’s National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorizes it as a “general aviation” facility.
Bethel Airport covers an area of 1,200 acres (486 ha) at an elevation of 210 feet (64 m) above mean sea level. It has two asphalt paved runways: 5/23 is 6,500 by 100 feet (1,981 x 30 m) and 13/31 is 5,000 by 75 feet (1,524 x 23 m). For the 12-month period ending December 31, 2010, the airport had 10,400 aircraft operations, an average of 28 per day: 84% general aviation and 16% air taxi.
In addition to two full-service fixed-base operators and a flight school offering several types of training, Bethel Airport also provides fuel services.
