Williamsport is a city in the state of Pennsylvania, located about 150 miles north of Philadelphia. It’s known for its sports, arts scene, and food. Williamsport was settled by Americans in the late 18th century and began to prosper due to its lumber industry. By the early 20th century, it reached the height of its prosperity.
Today, Williamsport has become known as “The Home of Little League”. It hosts an annual Little League World Series that draws over 100,000 visitors each year. In addition to being known for its sports scene, Williamsport boasts an impressive arts scene with more than 80 galleries and museums within a 15-mile radius of downtown.
